Cuty AI Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Cuty AI operates the website at cuty.run and the companion chat available through it. Where this policy says "we" or "us", it means the team running Cuty AI. Where it says "you", it means anyone visiting the site or holding a Cuty AI account.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the Cuty AI website and chat service only. It does not cover independent websites you reach from advertisements, partner pages or links posted inside a conversation.

3. Age requirement

Cuty AI is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly hold data belonging to minors, and any account we identify as belonging to a minor is closed and its data erased.

4. Account data

When you register we store an email address, a hashed password or the identifier supplied by your chosen sign-in provider, the date the account was created and your display name. Nothing further is required to use Cuty AI.

5. Conversation data

Messages you exchange with a Cuty AI companion are stored so the conversation can continue where you left it. They are attached to your account, are not published anywhere, and are not readable by other members.

6. Companion settings

The personality choices you make — tone, interests, message length, the companion you selected — are saved as preferences so Cuty AI can reproduce the same character on your next visit.

7. Payment data

Card numbers never reach Cuty AI servers. Payments are handled by regulated payment processors who return only a transaction reference, the plan purchased, the amount and the result. We store that record for accounting purposes.

8. Device and log data

Our servers record the usual technical entries: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and the time of each request. These logs protect Cuty AI against abuse and help diagnose faults.

9. Cookies

Cuty AI uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences and measure aggregate traffic. You can delete or block cookies in your browser, though the signed-in experience will not work without the essential ones.

10. Analytics

We measure how many people reach each part of the site and where they stop. Analytics reporting is aggregated: it tells us that a page underperforms, not who read it or what they typed.

11. Why we process data

To create and secure your account, to deliver conversations with memory, to process payments, to prevent fraud and abuse, to answer support requests, and to improve the Cuty AI service.

12. Legal bases

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance for delivering the service, legitimate interests for security and product improvement, consent for optional analytics and marketing, and legal obligation for financial records.

13. No sale of personal data

Cuty AI does not sell, rent or trade personal data, and does not share conversation content with advertisers, data brokers or any other commercial third party.

14. Service providers

We use a limited set of suppliers for hosting, email delivery, payment processing and error monitoring. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions and only for the purpose we specify.

15. International transfers

Some suppliers operate outside your country. Where data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard.

16. Storage periods

Account and conversation data remain while your account is active. After closure they are removed within 30 days, apart from records we must keep for tax and accounting, which are held for the statutory period.

17. Security measures

Traffic to Cuty AI is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored as salted hashes, administrative access is restricted and logged, and infrastructure components receive security updates on a regular schedule.

18. Your access rights

You may ask what personal data Cuty AI holds about you. We respond within 30 days, free of charge, unless a request is manifestly repetitive or excessive.

19. Correcting data

Inaccurate details can be corrected from your account settings or by writing to us. Corrections take effect immediately across the Cuty AI service.

20. Deleting your account

Account deletion is available in your settings. Choosing it removes your profile, your companion configurations and your entire chat history. The action cannot be reversed.

21. Exporting your data

On request we supply a machine-readable copy of your account data and conversations so you can keep it or move it elsewhere.

22. Objection and restriction

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask us to restrict processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved.

23. Marketing messages

Cuty AI sends promotional email only where you have opted in. Every message contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your access to the service.

24. Automated processing

Conversation replies are generated automatically. This produces no legal or similarly significant effect on you, and no automated decision determines your eligibility for anything beyond ordinary service usage.

25. Sensitive information

Please avoid sending health details, financial credentials, government identifiers or other sensitive material into a Cuty AI chat. The service does not need it and we do not request it.

26. Children

Cuty AI is not directed at anyone under 18 and contains no features intended for children. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will close the account.

27. Third-party links

Pages you reach by following an external link are governed by their own privacy notices. Cuty AI is not responsible for how those operators handle your information.

28. Breach notification

If a security incident is likely to affect your rights, we notify affected members and the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay, describing what happened and what we did about it.

29. Changes to this policy

We revise this page when the Cuty AI service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and significant changes are announced inside the product.

Privacy questions and requests go to privacy@cuty.run. If you are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence.
